How do I win?

Voting plan for all Battles of the Bands. Every person that walks in will be given a ticket with 2 bands to choose as their favorites. So if you bring 10 people, I'm sure you'll get those 10 votes, But those same people have to vote for one other band, too. And the band who actually plays the best will get everyone's second vote, out numbering the first vote for their friends, when combined with everyone else's favorite band. Now of course, you bring 1000 people and everyone else brings 10, Then you will have basically bought your victory, but if you can bring a 1000 people, God Bless you, we need to talk about booking you for some regular shows. Atten: Also don't vote for your band and then the worst band, because the last time 4 bands and their friends thought they were being sneaky, they all voted for themselves and then the worst band, and the worst band got votes from everybody and won 1st place.

July Starts the Battle of the Bands for TV!

Please Note: During July if you win one Battle, you'll will play again 2 Sundays later to be filmed for TV!  Yes, one victory and you make it to TV!

Attention: It's important to check and recheck your scheduled date and time.

It's also important to make sure you promote your band for the show, to bring out as many people as possible, we want the TV Show to reflect the metal scene, not your 2 lonely friends.

 You need to have people in front of you when you're on stage, Lets face it, here's your chance to show the whole Houston area what your band is capable of.  You can have the sweetest sounding music in the world, but when people see you could only bring 2 people to a show for TV, there not going to call you.

Also note: if you fail to let us know that you can't make it to a show and you don't show up you will not be allowed to play again!

2nd week of July

Friday just became available first come first serve (now open for booking)

Starting this Sunday the 11th, Sunday's will become an all day event filming the show early and then having a battle of the bands to finish the night off!

3rd week of July

Attention all bands, we must hear from you with-in 48 hours of your show to confirm, so that we know you will be there... Please call 832-275-7824

Also note, we are now booking Fridays, not as part of the battle of the bands but just killer shows. So if your in a killer band and can bring (at the very least) 20 people, call us to book for Fridays. Bands that play on Fridays will be given full props for helping to keep the metal scene alive on our TV show "Houston Metal". Plus you will get up to 1.5 minutes in an interview with your music in the background.

Note: In order to win the battle of the bands you have to have the most people voting for your band, and the more people that are there, the better your chances get.

So make sure you tell everyone you know, even that ex-girlfriend that tries to run you over every time she sees you.

 Oh Yeah, forgot to mention, Richie will also be plugging the Battle of the Bands and the Bands Playing, on the Radio as soon as he can get it on. (Talk about a good Door Pot)

Attention: All Early Sunday's after July 4th are reserved for the winners of the previous week. For example if you win a battle Sunday thru Saturday, you will earn a place on the 2nd Sunday, From the date of your victory, to be filmed for TV! 

When you win, you are rewarded by getting to play on Houston Metal TV Show. If for some reason you only want to play for the glory of winning, and don't want to be on TV, Tell us when you win, so we can pick the runner up to take your spot in the Lime-Light.

After July  4th, daily battles each week will Start on Sunday evenings and end on Saturday and will be Filmed at least 8 days later on Sunday.  Ps... After all this if you still don't understand ask a sober friend to explain it to you, and then put your beer down, pick up your instrument and practice, You have a battle to win!

You can book more than one show date as long as they are 12 days apart. Please try to book with other bands with a similar genre.

Please note just because a slot is shown to be open, doesn't mean someone didn't ask for it already. Slots are not guaranteed, until you see your band's name in that slot. Also Note: Schedules may Change due to National Acts or other major events. We are not responsible for typos, acts of God or situations beyond our control, if you see your band scheduled wrong you must tell us a week before the event.
